About the role
Meeting customer requirements is paramount, we strive for a minimum delivery on time and contractual service level of 98.5%. Your role will involve efficiently planning our Peterborough fleet while actively seeking opportunities to reduce empty running. Additionally, you will be responsible for promptly resolving any day-to-day planning issues that may arise. If you are passionate about logistics and problem-solving, we want to hear from you. You will be responsible for:
Resolving issues with loading/ planning/ booking and communicating with wider team
Use of systems - DFDS Direct/Velocity
Complete daily planning and admin tasks
Building and maintaining very good relationships with external hauliers and our customers
Monitoring subbing margin target
Working closely with Customer Services Team and supporting them with resolving issues
Support other team members in problem solving, carrying out root cause analysis and driving improvements.
Good IT skills covering Microsoft packages and ability to understand external systems such as Truckcom and Mandata.
