Salary rate: £29,500 – though this is negotiable based on experience
Hours: 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday
The Sales Assistant is a frontline role, meaning that you will be largely customer facing. This is a full time, officed based role in Coventry.
The role is varied and you must be flexible and willing to assist other members of your team when required. You will have to have a good telephone manner and be comfortable liaising with suppliers and customers in person and over the phone. Daily tasks will include but are not limited to: placing orders, drafting quotes, dealing with customer queries and stock control. This role offers opportunity for progression within the company.
Experience within an agricultural or construction background is necessary due to the nature of the business, previous sales experience is highly desirable.
Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Answering phone calls/emails and queries from customers/suppliers
Placing customer/stock orders
Drafting quotations for customers
Stock control
Assisting with accounts
Supporting by covering for staff on sick leave/absence
Assisting with marketing/advertising
Communicating with customers when orders have been placed/are ready for collection etc.
