Location – St Ives
Salary - £50k - £55k (depending on experience) FULLY OFFICE BASED
37.5 hours per week, 25 days holiday plus banks, Pension, On site Parking, company events.
My wonderful St Ives based client is currently recruiting an Experienced Management Account to join their team. As the Management Accountant you will be expected to work flexibly. You will be reporting in the Group Financial Director and working within a small but effective team. This company is friendly and supportive, and you will be a Valued member of the team. This company is an industry leader and is part of a larger group of companies however has maintained its family feel.
Management Accountant Job Description –
Production of monthly management accounts for Group companies and Group annual statutory accounts to strict timescales.
Managing finance team (including AP and AR).
Working with the Group finance team as required by the Group Financial Controller and Group CFO.
Membership of, and participation in the SMT (Senior Management Team)
Production of Group annual consolidation.
Management of the year end audit.
Completion of monthly payroll procedures and any annual year end payroll tasks.
General Ledger postings for all Group companies, including accrued and deferred revenue and costs.
Job costing and project monitoring.
Ad hoc financial reporting and business partnering as required.
Maintenance of balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
Maintenance of company car records.
Management of employees’ expenses.
Compilation of company VAT returns.
Maintenance of company fixed assets to include annual physical inventory.
Implementation and maintenance of effective internal controls and procedures.
Implementation and maintenance of accounting systems
Candidate Attributes –
Technical and commercial astuteness
A highly proactive, self-motivated, and flexible approach to duties
Competency in workload management and prioritising to meet strict deadlines.
Ability to work on own initiative and as an effective team member.
Diligent, positively energised.
Articulate with good communication skills.
Competent IT capabilities in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Sage 200 (preferred)
Qualified or Part Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
Strong academic record
