Head of Engineering Operations (Alarms)

Radley Green is partnering a fast-growth Alarms scale-up business based in Leicester to recruit their Head of Engineering Operations.
This role will report into the MD and will manage a team of installation engineers and mentoring service & maintenance engineers. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of service the business is known for and in driving the successful delivery of all installation projects.
This is a newly created role and will pay £40k-£50k plus bonus and lots of opportunity for progression and development.
Candidates MUST have experience with Fire or Security Alarm systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a small team of installation engineers, ensuring efficient and high-quality installation project delivery against the budget.
Provide technical support and guidance to all engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Oversee the recruitment, training, and professional development of all engineering staff, ensuring the team is well-equipped to meet the demands of our projects.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
Develop and implement strategies for profitable project delivery, including cost management and resource allocation.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, technological advancements, and best practices in fire safety and security solutions.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies throughout all engineering activities.
Participate in key client meetings, offering technical expertise and contributing to business development efforts.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a leadership role within the fire safety or security systems sector.
Strong technical background and a deep understanding of fire safety and security solutions.
Excellent management and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-driven approach.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
