Italian Journeys is a London based tour operator specializing in luxury travel to Italy. The company is a member of the Elite Travel Division of Global Travel Collection, part of the INTERNOVA travel group.
We are looking for an experienced itinerary designer to work in our team selling our luxury products to include exclusive hotels, special tours, yachts and limo services, to a worldwide travel-agent clientele.
Your Primary Duties
Creating custom luxury trips for new and current clients of Italian Journeys. Each trip must reflect the unique preferences of the traveler with tastes, age , and budget taken into consideration
Contact with upscale travel agents via email and phone
Contact with luxury hotels or other suppliers to check availability, rates and travel logistics
Working in a team to provide customer care service to ensure each client trip is handled with a personal touch and all details are attended to
Key Requirements
Please do not apply if you do not have the relevant job requirements:
Experience in the reservation dept. in the tourism sector
Good knowledge of Italy
A passion for the world of travel and luxury hospitality
Good interpersonal skills, team player and willingness to be flexible in a small team
Proficient with IT applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
You should have a good level of English, written and spoken
Spanish speaker an added bonus
Good organizational skills
The ability & drive to work hard to complete your tasks on time
Training
Learning how to work in a tour operator environment
Learn the systems we use to create beautiful itineraries
Learn how to communicate with travel agents from all of the world
Working in the reservation team creating and quoting itineraries
Salary: dependent on experience
