Assistant Accountant

A new hybrid role due to expansion, this is an excellent position for those looking to progress their career.
Role has free parking and is working Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm.
Duties include:-
Assisting the preparation of monthly financial statements to a tight timetable
Monthly key balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with annual budgets, and rolling forecasts
Assist with annual audit and half year review
Maintaining journal templates and journal processing
Maintain the fixed asset register
Assist in analytical review
Assisting with vat returns
Responsible for the management, maintenance of the customer ledger
Credit control duties to ensure debt is collected in accordance with company policy
Posting daily receipts
Provide KPI information in relation to the customers ledger
Managing customer credit limits in accordance with company policy
Managing on a day to day basis the invoice discount facility, and monthly reconciliation
Trust Account bank reconciliation
Assisting with rolling cash forecasting, particular emphasis on customer receipt
Support and holiday cover for:
Matching purchase invoices to purchase orders
Supplier weekly payment runs
Processing card payments
Current account bank reconciliation
Support the Financial Controller in ad hoc duties
