Job: HR Advisor

Reporting to: HR Manager
37 hours a week, two days a week on site at our offices in Emersons Green, this can sometimes be three days depending upon the needs of the business.
Job Description:
HR Advisor will be supporting an outsourced MoD contract for TVS Supply Chain Solutions. The role will be based at our offices in Emersons Green, North Bristol with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis following initial training.
The role of the HR Advisor is to join an existing HR function, supported by a wider central services HR team. Primary elements of the role include supporting managers by providing advice and support to achieve business objectives and making sure best practice with regards to HR policies and processes.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Work in Partnership with the HR Manager and Shared Service ER Advisor
With employee relations issues, TUPE, training, restructures and any other HR issues as required
Line Manager ‘people management’ capability and effectiveness through coaching, development, advice and guidance.
In the organisation and delivery of the annual training and development plan.
In partnership with Line Managers and Talent Acquisition team during recruitment and induction phases offering advice on individual performance management issues ensuring alignment with wider TVS approach and ensuring and local training is consistent.
Effective monitoring of sickness trends and remedial action in accordance with policy and to facilitate a proactive approach to absence management to ensure a smooth return to work.
Line Managers with grievance, disciplinary, absence and capability and investigation meetings
HR Manager with delivery of action plans following employee engagement survey outcomes.
In partnership with HR shared service to deploy business wide initiatives, training, policy reviews and ER case load, being the point of contact for more complex case load.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
Qualified or equivalent experience with a good understanding of current Employment Law
HR exposure, including learning & development, in an operational context.
Level of IT competency in Microsoft Office
Problem-solving mindset and attitude awareness
Effective communication skills at all levels.
Organisational/administration skills
