As a Nursery Nure you will be responsible for:
To contribute to the planning of a programme of activities in the area where you are based.
Work alongside parents to give full integration in the nursery in line with the child’s needs.
Support all staff and engage in a good staff team.
To support volunteers in the setting and encourage their professional development.
Liaise with and support parents and other family members.
To be flexible within the working practices of nursery, to include undertaking certain domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleaning of equipment, etc.
Work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the philosophy behind the Pomfret Woodland Community Nursery is fulfilled.
Look upon the nursery as a 'whole’, be constantly aware of the needs of all children.
To develop reflective practice and be open to personal and professional development.
To ensure the provision of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds and stages of development.
To ensure that mealtimes are a time of pleasant social sharing and meet the needs of individual children.
To be aware of the high profile of the nursery and to uphold its standards at all times.
Experience needed:
Level 2 or 3 in a recognised childcare field, that is deemed relevant by the DFE and Ofsted
GSCE in English and Maths or equivalent
Basic food hygiene
Paediatric first aid
Level 1 safeguarding
In return you will receive an hourly rate of £12.80, plus £250 bonus on 6 month service and £250 on 12 month service. Working Monday to Friday 35 hours per week.
