Information about the Role:
Working as a Head Chef at Waterloo Manor Hospital your duties will include the following:
Prioritise workload of, and allocate tasks to relevant Staff.
Create and maintain cooking and cleaning regimes (daily, weekly, periodically etc) for all areas of the kitchen in line with the Company’s quality philosophy.
Train and line manage all kitchen staff
Ensuring preparation and presentation is always to a high standard
Planning meals and consulting with residents and care staff to ensure that individual dietary needs and preferences are catered for
Working as part of a diverse staff team
Ensuring that the kitchen standards are maintained in line with the Safer Food Better Business requirements.
To prepare and present food to a high standard and quality.
To ensure that you work within an agreed budget
Information about the Service:
The service is gender specific, working with women who have complex mental health issues. Waterloo Manor is the largest female Personality Disorder service in the United Kingdon that provides assessment and treatment services for women with complex mental health & disorders. The Hospital provides both low secure and rehabilitation services.
Necessary Experience or Qualifications to work as a Chef / Cook:
The right candidate will have a real passion for Cooking.
Relevant experience in a similar setting working as a Head Chef or Cook.
Experience of menu and budget planning
Ability to work on shift/rota pattern, including some weekends.
Have the right to the work in the UK.
Excellent organisation skills.
Working knowledge of the Safe Food Better Business requirements.
Ability to work well under pressure.
