Regional PR Manager
Birmingham
There aren’t many opportunities to join such large communications teams as you can with this awesome professional services firm. They’ve created a brand new role to develop and manage the PR, media and press activity focussing purely on their individual offices throughout the UK. So essentially, it’s regional PR on a national basis. It’s a hugely exciting time to join and with hybrid working, amazing office space when you’re in and a plethora of fabulous benefits that come from working in a very large team you’d be mad to miss this opportunity.
The role:
Sitting within the broader Marketing team as Regional PR Manager you will work strategically and tactically to deliver and manage proactive and reactive comms. This will mean working closely with each of the many offices throughout the UK to agree specific communications activity ensuring the successful execution of all PR and comms. Naturally, you’ll need to build and maintain excellent contact with regional and local business media as well as with internal and external stakeholders.
You’ll manage all reactive media requests and will proactively seek out news agenda driven opportunities. You’ll write all written content for press releases, articles and thought leadership pieces and you’ll also create engaging social media content to sit alongside the media relations work being undertaken. You’ll work with the broader corporate comms team to develop a range of regional press photography and video content, and awards and submissions for the regions will also sit within your remit.
What we’re looking for:
This team has always been run very much like an agency, so we’re looking for either experienced agency PR Account Managers with professional services experience or candidates who are already in a PR Manager environment, again professional services is going to be extremely useful, but its not necessarily a deal breaker if you haven’t got it.
You’ll need to be a brilliant relationship-builder, as there’s lots of stakeholders involved with this firm - there’s a lot of offices! You’re also going to be very well organised and will thrive on building regional press contacts and really helping each office achieve great PR on an individual basis as well as assisting with the overall positive PR of the firm.
What’s on Offer?
Salary is available on application , but is very competitive and there is an excellent benefits package on offer including bonus and share purchase options. You’ll need to be in the Birmingham office twice per week and there’s also travel to the other offices throughout the UK, but the rest of the week you can be at home. When you are in the office, you’ll be in the centre of the city and be in pretty impressive surroundings. For further information get in touch.
