We're currently seeking an experienced individual to join us in London on a staff basis as a Legal Counsel. The successful candidate will have 3-5+ years PQE and experience working on infrastructure, energy, O&G, Construction or Petrochemical projects. This is a key role for us as we scale our team to take on this project and will have significant responsibility, offering an opportunity to progress and accelerate the candidate's knowledge & career progression.

Profile
Qualified to practice law in the UK
3-5+ years PQE gained either in-house or private practice
Infrastructure, O&G, Renewable Energy, Construction or Petrochemical experience
Experience working independently - drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts & agreements
Knowledge of UK legal system and ability to develop further to support business operations
Ability to articulate legal and contractual risks for management
Responsibilities
Independently draft, review, negotiate and/or close various agreements like NDAs, terms for procurement of services or supplies, MoUs, Term-sheets etc
Independently manage contractual correspondence with counterparties in different kinds of contracts
Support the team in the closure of complex engineering and license agreements including EPC Contracts
Provide general legal and compliance support to the business in areas such as employment law, data protection, corporate law, property related issues etc
Advise the management on risks and potential opportunities related to the above
Coordinate with and supervise a variety of external legal advisors
Interface with various internal business units (Finance, Procurement, Accounting, Regulatory, Intellectual Property, etc.) to ensure contractual documents are drafted correctly
