The purpose of the role is to provide Technical support to the Maintenance Team
The scope of the job:
As Hydraulic Engineer you will report directly to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for Engineering design, Modernisation, Refurbishments and all Hydraulic and Pneumatic Technology across the department. The role will involve capturing change, improving hydraulic technology and ensuring that existing systems perform to their full potential. You will be responsible for all statutory requirements in relation to the role. You will work alongside the Engineering team to assist with the planning and execution of Shutdown and weekend works to ensure that plant and equipment is safe and ready to use.
The responsibilities of the job:
To provide Technical Hydraulic, Pneumatic and supervisory support within the engineering team.
The tasks of the job:
* Excellent knowledge of complex Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems
* To utilise CAD or Solidworks packages – Training will be provided
* Knowledge of CMMS. i.e. Spidex etc
* To improve existing hydraulic technology and to develop new hydraulic technology
* To research and design new technology within the plant to help improve efficiencies and reliability around all aspects of Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
* To assist the engineering team in fault finding hydraulic or pneumatic issues.
