Drugs and Alcohol Worker Vacancy – Temporary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a highly established charity for an Alcohol Worker to join their service in Great Yarmouth. This is a full-time temporary position and they are looking to get someone started as soon as possible.

Location: Great Yarmouth

Hours: 37.5 per week

Shifts: 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Length of Contract: 3 – 4 months

Daily duties:

Manage a caseload clients with Substance Misuse, Drugs and Alcohol dependencies

Carrying out client assessments and co-ordinate a person-centred recovery plan to promote effective recovery including referrals to other community agencies

Provide support and advice to service users, their families and potential service users about harm reduction

Identify achievable goals and incorporate those within recovery plans, ensuring that clients are able to work through their plans successfully

Carry out risk assessments and reviews with special attention to safeguarding concerns

Facilitate client contact and communicate via telephone, online and face-to-face to encourage and ensure safe engagement in treatment

Essential Requirements:

Knowledge of clients who have drug and alcohol issues and how to promote effective recovery

An Enhanced DBS from within the last 3 years or the willingness to obtain one
