Title: Head Supervisor Reports to: Deli ManagerVacancy based at Caernarfon Road, Bangor LL57 4SU (NEW STORE Opening MAY 2024) Hours of work: 30+ Hours per week/Store Rota/5 out of 7 days Job Purpose: To work within a fast-paced deli team to deliver an exceptional experience to our customers whilst maximising sales. This is an action-packed, hands-on role directly managing the daily running of our fresh food operation including, hot food, cold food, and bakery.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Ensure deli merchandising is clean & full
Ensure product is available, rotated, and reduced accordingly
Organize, produce and distribute wholesale orders
Organize daily tasks & giving direction to deli staff
Training new employees
Organise weekly staff rotas to be done 2 weeks in advance.
Work with Deli Manager to create new products
Office Tasks (consisting of but not restricted to):
Understand how to create items and use labelling programme
Place and receive orders for all ingredients and supplies
Know how to cost out items and create retail and wholesale prices to achieve target margins
Job Requirements:
Weekend & occasional evening trading is essential to the business, flexible hours & weekend work are required.
Food preparation in line with food safety standards in a timely manner and according to formula.
Completion of food safety paperwork and documentation. Manage and maintain standards in line with HACCP, food safety and Natasha’s Law.
Cooking and serving food, ensuring shelves are fully stocked and goods are presented to high standards.
Manage ordering, stock taking and visual displays.
Daily and deep cleaning of the deli areas and equipment.
Good timekeeping and effective time management, and great problem-solving skills.
Outstanding standards of communication with customers and other employees.
Commitment, being self-motivated, and results focussed. Willingness to be continuously on the go, working alongside your team.
Ability to coach and train other team members.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £13.30 per hour, pay increase once fully trained and able to run the deli competently.
