Job Title: Financial Controller
Reporting to: MD
Hours: 16 hours per week (flexible on hours/days)
Salary: £28k - £30k (pro rata)
JOB PURPOSE : To undertake all financial controller duties and the main accounts point of contact for all finance/accounts related matters.
Main Duties:
Preparing financial reports - P&L Monthly/Quarterly - 2nd week of following month
Invoicing - matching sales with associated costs - accruing for costs where applicable
Key financial account reconciliation
Monitoring internal financial controls.
Overseeing and preparing income statements.
Participating in budgeting processes.
Managing financial transactions.
Streamlining accounting functions and operations.
Cash flow Forecast
Payroll with Nest/Pension and statutory returns
VAT submission, management and forecasting
Payments and debtor age analysis (Strong Credit Control skills - Verbally)
Financial Controller Requirements:
Proven experience in finance management.
Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Xero
Good communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
Compliance oriented.
Proficiency in accounting software.
Analytical skills.
Proficient in telephone use for credit control - Not hiding behind emails
Responding to e-mails within a reasonable time frame - NOT ignoring
Adhoc office admin, telephone answering generally helping out other staff members if required
