Base £49,000 + OTE 25-30k
London (1 day office per week) rest remote – International Travel
My client is a major Media PLC now growing their sales team, looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to deliver revenue across Sponsorship and Marketing Services, the main responsibility is new business development across the client’s events and marketing services. The role will be responsible for working to develop multi-product propositions as well as researching and establishing new customers and new customer types.
Responsibilities
and exceed revenue targets for new business
good understanding of specific market segments and the new type of vendors to target
company stakeholders and build and maintain strong client relationships with senior level decision makers, using a highly-consultative sales process
the majority of these will be new companies, identify their objectives and plan sales strategy accordingly
proposals and pitches to suit the seniority of the customers for virtual, physical and blended events
the key benefits of hybrid / digital elements of events to clients - and the journey that they will take with us
as needed to visit clients and attend events
Skills & Experience required
Extensive sales experience in a B2B environment
Solid track record of personal sales success, regularly hitting and exceeding targets
Experience of building relationships with CMOs and ability to convey how events can support their marketing strategy
Natural networker with ability to hold their own in conversations with senior executives
Ability to navigate through complex clients, managing multiple key stakeholders
Proven track record in winning new business
Experience of working on multiple sales projects at a time
Experience and understanding of international sales at a senior level
Ability to quickly identify specific prospects to approach
Ability to adjust sales approach to match the client/situation
Proven ability to drive sales process from planning to close
