What will the role involve?
Responsibility for both short and long term production plans
Close collaboration with Purchasing to develop the material plan, highlighting constraints and adjusting production plans accordingly
Chairing Production Scheduling meetings and agreeing plans with the Production team
Highlighting short-term and long-term capacity constraints
Managing data within MRP/ERP system (production rates, yield etc.)
Monitoring forecast accuracy and variances to previous cycles
Developing and maintaining relevant KPIs for production and planning
Supporting and enabling change projects and process improvements
Ideal Skills and Experience
Previous production planning experience, ideally in a SME environment
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
Previous experience with MRP/ERP systems
Ability to work in a fast-moving manufacturing environment and react to changes in demand or supply where necessary
Very strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proven track record of stakeholder engagement and relationship management
