Can you lead our restaurant and bar team to even higher standards?
Were looking for an experienced Restaurant and Bar Manager to lead our team and provide first-class customer service. Its a hands-on role, working closely with the General Manager and the Head Chef, so you must have experience of managing a high-volume restaurant or bar. Youll also need a track record of successfully developing a hotel department. An awareness of health & safety procedures and the ability to act as a fire marshal are also highly desirable.
With excellent communication skills, and good spoken and written English, youll be an approachable and authoritative team leader who can work methodically under pressure. A high standard of personal presentation and a real passion for customer service are also essential, as are excellent numeracy and computer skills.
Leading the restaurant and bar team, youll set high standards and ensure that they are met, giving staff the feedback, training and development they need. Where our products and systems can be improved, youll suggest and implement ways to do that. Youll resolve customer complaints quickly, and organise staff rotas to ensure that the team works as efficiently as possible. Accountable for budgets, youll maintain a profitable operation in line with the companys objectives. And youll deal with suppliers and manage stock control.
Your remit also includes organising promotional activities, and ensuring that your team complies with all relevant policies, procedures and legislation. You may be asked to cover duty management.
What we need from you
Scottish Personal Licence
Two years' experience, including managing a high-volume restaurant or bar
First aid at work qualification
Proven ability to take the team forward
What we offer
