Billing Assistant for Global Law Firm

Birmingham

£ 24000 - 27000/annum

Hybrid, full-time permanent position based in either Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Cardiff or Nottingham. Offering up to £27,000 per annum depending on experience.

An exciting opportunity to work for an ambitious, fast-paced and international law firm as part of their support team has just become available! With flexible working options, the successful applicant will be supporting a department head; acting as the clients’ “go-to” for all their billing requirements and working closely with other billing and finance teams to ensure a smooth-running billing experience for clients.

Key responsibilities of the role would include:

* Accurate and efficient billing in-line with the client’s billing protocols

* Matter validation including matter management, maintaining ledger financial hygiene and identifying and improving matter protocols

* Supporting oversees agents’ invoices; guiding fee earners and partners on the firm’s financial procedures, and resolving client queries

* Email responding; actioning proformas and chasing fee-earners in line with the firm’s SLA requirements

* Additional requests including running client summary reports, financial housekeeping and reducing dormant balances

Prospective applicants must have previous billing experience, or experience managing high volumes of finances or invoicing, within a similar professional services environment.
