Spencer Ogden is proud to be exclusively supporting one of our key clients with the recruitment of a UK Director to spearhead the development and growth of their UK portfolio. This role can be based in/near the Scottish Central Belt, or in the South of England.

Our client is a globally recognised developer of Wind, Solar and BESS projects that operates a significant portfolio across multiple continents.

Reporting to the Country Manager, you will be responsible to manage the renewable energy project development portfolio targets in the United Kingdom from initial site selection through the EIA process to post planning and construction. You will provide input to the Company’s’ strategy and targets.

Responsibilities:

Oversee ongoing development and construction endeavours for renewable energy projects (including wind, solar, and battery storage) from initial site acquisition to project completion.

Supervise the operations of multiple offices throughout the United Kingdom, overseeing the needs and activities of a team consisting of 15+ employees.

Collaborate closely with fellow Directors and contribute to the broader management team's strategic decisions.

Formulate and execute operational strategies to meet both short-term objectives and long-term targets.

Devise and implement plans aimed at enhancing cost-effectiveness across operations.

Cultivate and maintain constructive, trust-based relationships with key business partners and stakeholders.

Serve as a representative of the organization, engaging with industry committees, participating in events, trade fairs, and other relevant forums on behalf of the company.
