Legal Cashier - Global Law Firm - £45,000
This dynamic law firm with offices across the world is looking to recruit a Legal Cashier for its accounts team in London, based in stunning offices with spectacular views of the City.
The role will be a hands on and busy role to support employees across the office. Working alongside one other legal cashier, an accounts payable specialist, legal biller and accounting supervisor.
Duties include:
Processing of client and office receipts
Setting up electronic payments
Ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
Actioning any internal bank transfers as required
Calculating interest due on client account transactions
Ensuring client balances are returned promptly
Supporting the wider accounts team, completing any additional ad hoc tasks as required
Previous legal accounting experience is required, along with a solid understanding of the solicitor’s accounts rules. Experience of using different currencies would be an advantage, together with having studied the AAT or ILFM cashiering course.
