Based on the this beautifully located River near Falmouth, my client a 4 star, independent, family run hotel set in 65 acres with a bar, spa, restaurant, golf course, tennis courts, boating, paddle-boarding and kayaking, they are looking for an experienced Bar Manager to Join their team.
Their team is at the heart of everything they do and we trust you to take the initiative and bring your passion and personality into what you do every day.
As the Bar & Porter Manager at this award winning hotel, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our bar and terrace facilities. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated staff, delivering exceptional customer service, and contributing to the overall success of our hotel. This role is 45 hours per week over 5 days, £30,420 per annum.
Responsibilities of the role
Be a key player, serving customers and managing the operation of our cocktail bar.
Lead and support a team of bar staff and day porters, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
Work closely with other departments to ensure adequate staffing for bars, porter duties, and functions.
Identify training needs and implement methods for continuous improvement.
Conduct regular checks on bar areas and cleanliness to maintain high standards.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
Maintain and control bar stocks, ensuring appropriate inventory levels and profitability.
Ensure staff are trained in the use of technology and propose improvements to enhance efficiency.
Collaborate with managers to develop promotions and drive sales activities.
Uphold health and safety regulations and emergency procedures.
