Role
This will be a mixed role in terms of project delivery / supervision of others as well as getting involved in fee proposals/business development.
Ensuring an understanding of project briefs.
Leading and delivering the mechanical aspect of projects from concept to completion working under industry standards and regulations.
Providing technical guidance and expertise, supervision and mentoring of junior staff.
Representing the organisation at meetings with clients and contractors.
Site surveys, inspections and monitoring of site works.
Report and technical note writing.
Fee proposals.
Maintaining complete records and archives to company standards.
Adherence to all quality, environmental and governance processes.
Qualifications/ Experience
Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or related subjects.
Chartered Engineer with CIBSE or IET.
Proficient in energy reduction methods and approaches to decarbonising new and existing buildings..
Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools such as AutoCAD, Excel, IES, Revit is beneficial
Experience working in a design consultancy and/or experience of working within a contractor design environment is essential.
Have a detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards.
