Our client, a materials engineering consultancy, is looking to appoint their first Commercial Manager to drive growth and mature the commercial functions within the business.

This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the future growth of a high-potential organisation. This role will involve developing new and existing business, and supporting marketing strategies to meet their ambitious plans.

What you'll need:

Proven experience in a B2B commercial, business development or sales role, ideally in an engineering, research or technology-based industry.

A successful track record of leading business development, sales and marketing initiatives within a related B2B environment.

Highly customer-focused with experience building strategic partnerships or key account management.

Track record of delivering sales targets while maintaining excellent customer service and quality.

Responsibility for designing and delivering successful marketing campaigns and supporting collateral materials.

Providing insights and recommendations based on sales data and market analysis.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, research partners and other stakeholders, to understand their needs and anticipate new business opportunities.

Working as a proactive member of the business leadership team, aligning closely with Group Leaders to actively drive the future success of the business.

Making regular customer visits, supported by technical specialists, to identify leads, develop new business proposals and deliver commercially successful projects.
