Assistant Management Accountant

Assistant Management Accountant (3 month FTC - possibility to go permanent) We are currently working with a renowned media company based in Central London, looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their growing team. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and efficient individual for a 3-month fixed-term contract with the potential to go permanent.

As an Assistant Management Accountant , you will play a vital role in supporting the Finance Manager in the day-to-day financial operations. Your responsibilities will include managing cash flow, tracking purchase orders, completing month-end processes, and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the financial success of the company and gain valuable experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate closely with client-facing teams to actively manage cash flow into the business.* Provide weekly outstanding debtor summaries to key client facing relationship holders.* Take ownership of purchase order tracking and management, liaising with client-facing teams.* Complete key month-end processes, including prepayments, fixed assets, foreign exchange, company card reconciliation, and intercompany reconciliations.* Work closely with key budget holders and the Finance Manager to track and report spend versus budget.* Assist the Finance Manager with cash flow forecasting, reforecasting, and annual budgeting.* Provide feedback on policy enhancements and changes to the Finance Manager.* Ensure the accounting system is up to date.

Requirements:* Minimum of 3 years experience in an Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable role.* Part qualified or looking to start studying within the next year.* Strong attention to detail and highly organised mindset.* Ability to work to deadlines.* Ability to work closely with stakeholders external to Finance.* Knowledge of Xero would be beneficial.* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
