We have a fantastic opportunity a Business Support Officer within the Homelessness team at Tameside Council. This is a full-time temporary role for the next 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
What is the role?
Tameside Council are looking for two Business Support Officer to join a very busy front line housing advice service. The focus of these roles will be the first point of contact for customers both in person at the team’s reception area as well as online contacts and referrals. Previous experience of working with housing or homelessness would be an advantage as conducting triage calls is part of this role.
What are your responsibilities?
To be fully conversant with the Community Safety and Homelessness Systems i.e Locata, Uniform, Independent Living etc.
Input / Extract and maintain information.
General enquiries
Ensure accurate and complete data for the service area.
Provision of an appropriate and courteous response to all forms of enquiries, taking message and making telephone calls etc as appropriate.
