THE PROJECT

Legends has entered a strategic partnership with Arsenal Football Club to build its non-matchday business. This exciting and unique opportunity will play a leading role in developing, designing, and implementing the immediate and future Meeting & Events business strategy with the Club.

THE ROLE

The Account Executive is primarily responsible for finding new opportunities in the Market, closing commercial agreements with clients, and taking care of the delivery of the corporate event. This person should be a self-motivated and positive professional. The Account Executive will work under the guidance of the Business Development Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Focus on prospecting, appointment setting, executing sales presentations and closing corporate event sales.

The candidate will be responsible for selling a full menu of corporate event options (small, medium, and large events with different catering options).

Setting and conducting out of the office sales appointments, preparing budget proposals, and closing the agreement.

The candidate will be accountable for certain levels of sales activity (calls made/appointments set) and financial goals.

Achieve monthly and yearly revenue targets set forth by the Business Development Manager.

Assist in the creation of new group programs and events aimed at increasing sales opportunities.

Build strong relationships with clients to provide long-term business relationships and build recurrent revenues.

Candidate should possess an optimistic team-first attitude, as well as a competitive desire to overperform.

Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).

Identify new b2b and B2bc clients & new business to ensure monthly venue targets are met.

Represent venue at local events and exhibitions.

Update sales action plans, events & MICE tracker daily, weekly, and monthly.

Maintain database of existing and new accounts

Review daily reports and focus on recommendations concerning sales.

Closely following up on all business leads within a 24-hour response timeline to clients.

Attending department and venue meetings as necessary.

Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Bachelor’s degree

Prior sales experience of 2/3 years

Previous job/internship sales experience within the sports or entertainment industry is preferred.

Must have a strong work ethic

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally.

Committed to success and a desire to aggressively compete within a team environment.

Able to simultaneously manage an important level of detail across multiple projects.

Able to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining elevated levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure.

Able to work well within a team environment, offering assistance and support to team members whenever necessary.

Able to balance internal priorities with client expectations.

Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

Must be willing to work non-traditional hours, weekends, event dates.
