Cleaning Operative

HMP Doncaster

Full time, 40 Hours A Week,

Monday to Friday, Routine: 05:00 - 13:30 (subject to change)

Salary: £21,851.34

Key Purpose:

The post holder will be responsible for taking care of our facilities following our cleaning schedule.

Act as a supporting function in the challenging environment of a secure establishment.

Key Accountabilities:

Clean all areas that are assigned within the Cleaning Schedule.

Maintain cleaning stock within designated areas.

Comply with Health & Safety Cleaning Procedures.

Notify management of occurring deficiencies.

Carry out any other duties as directed by your Line Manager.

Essential qualifications & Additional/special features of the role:

British Institute of Cleaning Services (BICS) desirable, training provided.

Basic Health & Safety qualification.

Self-motivated with ability to use own initiative working to deadlines.

Good interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Operate equipment i.e. vacuums, buffers & wet vac machines.

Carry out all duties assigned in a safe manner, observing all statutory and local regulations.

Ability to handle and dispose of confidential information with sensitivity, integrity, and good judgment.

Previous experience essential

Additional/special features of the role:

Biohazard cleaning could be required with training provided.

Recognise areas of improvements of working practices.

Maintain records of tools.
