Position: Stock and Procurement Manager
Location: North West
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE)
About the business: I am representing a dynamic organisation committed to excellence, utilising cutting edge technology within the construction industry. They are seeking an experienced Procurement / Stock manager to join their Procurement team, with a wealth of opportunity to grow within the role.
As the Stock and Procurement Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of quality materials while optimising costs and maintaining inventory levels. Whilst strategically managing supply relationships, ensuring the stability of Supply Chain and managing the stock.

Responsibilities:
Inventory Control: Develop and implement procedures to maintain accurate stock levels across the entire business
Stocktakes and Reconciliation: Regularly conduct stocktakes and reconcile discrepancies
Procurement Strategies: Monitor inventory turnover rates and adjust procurement strategies to optimise stock levels
Supplier Negotiations: Source, negotiate, and procure stock from reliable suppliers at competitive prices
Contract Agreements: Negotiate supplier contracts for favourable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards
Contract Compliance: Ensure compliance with contract terms, regulatory requirements, and quality standards
Supplier Performance: Evaluate supplier performance and maintain positive relationships
Process Streamlining: Continuously seek opportunities to streamline procurement processes and identify cost-saving initiatives
Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Operations Teams to forecast stock requirements
Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks related to supply chain disruptions or quality issues and develop mitigation strategies
Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on stock levels, procurement performance, and key indicators
Asset Tracking: Ensure accurate tracking of assets throughout the process, including refurbishment
Equipment Fleet Management: Manage pod and equipment fleet both internally and with suppliers
Customs Process: Oversee customs processes for international shipments
Competencies:
Strong negotiation skills and relationship-building abilities with suppliers
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration
Attention to detail and accuracy
Experience:
Proven experience in stock management
Strong understanding of the Procurement processes
Experienced in strategically managing Supply chain roles
Ability to source and manage supplies and deal with external stakeholders
Experienced using Procurement systems
Excellent negotiation skills
