We are seeking a Video Engineer to join a high-profile project focused on Video Streaming Technology for Live & VOD content. This role is crucial for implementing, deploying, and maintaining the infrastructure as code for streaming video backend and components. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in modern programming languages and cloud-based video streaming platforms.
Day to day of the role:
Implement, deploy, and maintain infrastructure as code for streaming video backend and components.
Monitor, log, and alert systems to proactively identify and address performance issues.
Ensure uninterrupted video delivery by providing technical support and troubleshooting expertise.
Resolve video-related issues and incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance video streaming quality and infrastructure.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Solid programming skills in modern languages such as Go, Python, and familiarity with specific streaming and cloud technologies.
Experience with Cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong experience in writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
Proven experience in video streaming platforms, preferably in a cloud-based environment.
Knowledge of streaming protocols like HLS, MPEG-DASH.
Understanding of CDNs, caching mechanisms, and edge caching strategies.
Experience with Edge compute.
Knowledge of DRM systems and content protection mechanisms.
Experience with ABR streaming and dynamic packaging technologies.
