Read on for more details about this particular role.ResponsibilitiesLead analysis of customer quality issues and drive cross-functional and cross-national resolution teams using the 8D problem-solving process, project management, and Global Quality tools through close cooperation with New Product Development, Marketing, and MissionOPS departments to drive resolution of all quality issues.Own tracking, trending, forecasting, and budgeting for MSA global warranty dollarsWork alongside Product Concern Specialists (PCSs) to review historical Customer Quality Notifications (CQNs) and Warranty Orders to identify top drivers, determine root cause, and drive corrective actionsConduct quarterly meetings with MissionOPS, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales to review warranty trends, present potential corrective actions, and gain alignment on resources to address issues with Requests for Engineering Assistance (RFEAs)Ensure past warranty drivers are designed out of next generation products via historical analysis, quality change scope definition, and verification testing input.Participate in DFMEAs and PFMEAs as part of New Product Development projects as well as changes made to legacy products as a result of VAVEs, VSMs, Engineering Changes, or other product improvement initiatives.Utilize PowerBI to develop dashboards to optimize data capture and data mining to identify trends, ideate solutions, and drive results.Lead cross-functional teams when Stop Production or Stop Ship situations arise to identify root cause, drive resolution, and aid production to resume shipping. Once corrective actions have been defined, responsible for working with global inventory owners to address existing inventory.Up to 10% domestic and international travelQualifications:Practioner of quality methods and toolsExcellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.Solid interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence attitudes and behaviors.Proven ability to simultaneously and independently manage multiple tasks, solve technical problems, lead projects, and work effectively in cross-functional teams.Demonstrated ability to drive execution of projects including the ability to identify and act upon potential improvements.Ability to review mechanical and electrical schematics, procedures, specifications, agency requirements, and industry standardsSolid IT knowledge: MS Office (advanced Excel skills) and ERP system useEducation & Experience Required:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree; preferably Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field of studyThis position is available at multiple career levels based upon experience and education:Level one (Staff I): Entry Level, no relevant industry experienceLevel two (Staff II): 2 years of relevant industry experienceLevel three (Staff III): 3 years of relevant industry experienceLevel four (Sr. Staff): 5 years of relevant industry experiencePreferred:Lean Six Sigma Green / Black BeltLead ISO9001 AuditorExperience in a global / manufacturing multi-site organizationKnowledge of the MSA Operating System, Continuous Improvement Tools (Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving Tools, etc.)Experience with industrial productsExperience with SAP, Atlassian, Power BI, Minitab
