An exciting opportunity has become available for a Financial Controller to join a well established but growing organisation which has successfully acquired a couple of other organisations, and are therefore are seeking to appoint a number of key finance positions.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Responsible for maintaining the finance function and overseeing all day-to-day finance operations as delivered by the Finance Team.
Provide strategic financial support to the Finance Director to facilitate wider decision making and business planning as required.
Manage the maintenance of the financial accounting system and accounting processes.
Oversee preparation and analysis of month end management accounts, completion of monthly executive report packs.
Review the Management Accounts and balance sheets and investigate variances in conjunction with other members of the Senior Management Team.
Providing insightful performance monthly analysis to help the business achieve its commercial objectives.
Manage the entire year end process and take overall responsibility for balance sheet and reconciliations.
Review and oversee financial transactions and internal controls, cash flow forecasting and reviewal of finance KPI’s
Management and development of the Finance team
Essential Qualifications & Training
Educated to degree level, with an accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
Proficient IT skills including Microsoft packages
Essential experience, knowledge & Skills
A strong focus and background in financial controls & processes.
Attention to detail, but with the ability to think strategically as needed.
Excellent communication, team building and project management skills.
A proactive and adoptable approach.
Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
Experience of leading a team.
