Programmes Finance Officer | London | £250 per day (Umbrella) | Hybrid | 3 months +
For a global NGO, we're recruiting an Interim Programmes Finance Officer for 3 months. Reporting to the Programmes Finance Manager, this role will run efficient programme financial accounting, financial management and financial reporting processes to donor funded programmes and grants. This role will support the full life cycle of grants, from donor proposal to final reporting. The Programmes Finance Officer will work closely with Finance and Programme teams as well as in-country staff, partner agencies and external Donors.
What you'll be doing:
Programme financial planning, financial management and reporting
Monitor budgets, cash-flow, donor compliance and reporting
Maintain grant tracker, cost recoveries and cash balances
Prepare financial reporting for monthly dashboard and quarterly cash balances reporting
Grants management and grants compliance
Ensure all grants are recorded and monitored, set up grant codes and review budgets
Review proposal budgets, liaising with Programmes teams, ensuring compliance with donor requirements
Timely submission of cash requests for Donor contracts and sub-grant agreements
Prepare donor sub-grant agreements with field units, and partners
Support preparation and follow-up of internal and external grant audits
Training and capacity building sessions for in-country teams
What you'll offer:
Experience working with EC, ECHO, FCDO, DFID or equivalent with understanding of compliance rules and regulations
Strong experience of financial accounting, financial reporting
Strong experience of budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management
Experience working for international NGOs or donor agencies including field-level implementation
Excellent communication and presentation skills
