We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician (Leading Hand) to join us at Cambridge.

Role - Electrical Maintenance Technician (Leading Hand)
Rate of Pay - £200/day (PAYE)
Location - Laundry Farm - University Of Cambridge, Penarth Pl, Cambridge CB3 9LU
Job Type: Full time, Temporary
Hours: Mon - Fri, 8.00 to 16.30
Start Date - As soon as completing the documentation
Essential Requirements:
Basic DBS Check
Recognised Trade Apprenticeship
City and Guilds Qualification in Electrical Installation
NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification
Achievement Measurement (AM1&2) in Electrical Installation
City and Guilds 2382 - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
JIB card or equivalent
City and Guilds 2391 - Inspection, Testing, and Certification of Installations
BTEC HNC in Building Services Engineering or equivalent practical experience
IT literate, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Able to manage low voltage electrical distribution equipment within sub-stations
Knowledgeable about general power distribution systems
Familiarity with motor drive systems, including inverter speed controls
Understanding of mechanical plant control systems
Job Responsibilities :
Leads site teams on maintenance projects, including emergencies.
Conducts site surveys for planning and feasibility.
Liaises with contractors and maintains workshop orders.
Collaborates on health and safety with the supervisor.
Ensures workshop security and undertakes training.
Deputies in the supervisor's absence.
Investigate operational issues and perform maintenance.
Installs electrical plant and conducts tests.
Uses machine shop equipment as needed.
Participates in emergency call-out duties on rotation.
