Salary: £27,000 - £45,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Music Teacher to join our team in Cambridgeshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator to inspire and nurture the musical talents of secondary education students.
Day-to-day of the role: Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring music lessons that cater to the abilities of all students.
Encourage students’ musical development and appreciation of music across a variety of genres.
Assess and record students’ progress, providing feedback and setting targets to facilitate improvement.
Organise and lead school music events, ensembles, choirs, and performances.
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into a broader curriculum.
Maintain a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in musical education, such as a degree in Music or Music Education.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Music.
Prior experience teaching Music at the secondary education level.
Strong knowledge of music theory, history, and a wide range of musical styles.
Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments and conducting ensembles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and work collaboratively with staff and parents.
