MANE is seeking experienced UKAS RG2 Category 3 Inspection Engineers for an exciting onshore role in the Southampton region. This position involves conducting in-service plant inspections at a refinery plant, ensuring compliance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
WSE Preparation: Develop Written Schemes of Examination (WSE) in accordance with the Pressure System Safety Regulations (PSSR).
Inspection Work Scopes: Define access, insulation removal, and NDT requirements to satisfy WSE.
Visual Examinations: Perform invasive visual inspections of major pressure systems including process pipework, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, distillation columns, PRVs, and storage tanks.
NDT Interface: Collaborate with the NDT team to clarify inspection techniques and meet integrity objectives.
Inspection Reports: Produce high-quality, accurate inspection reports detailing asset conditions.
Corrosion Grading: Assess and grade corrosion using company procedure scales, raising mandatory defects when necessary.
PRV Certification Review: Ensure Pressure Relief Valves (PRVs) are correctly set, maintained, and tested at specified intervals.
WSE and Frequency Review: Post-inspection, confirm the accuracy and relevancy of WSE and inspection frequencies.
Risk Based Assessment: Participate in the Risk-Based Assessment program for pressure systems equipment.
Desirable Qualifications:
ASME Plant Inspector Level 1/2 certification
API 570 Pipe Inspection certification
