Mechanical Engineer

My client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their expanding engineering team. You will be reporting to their Platform Hardware Manager, and will work supporting key customer accounts.
They design, manufacture and market wafer processing solutions for the global semiconductor industry and related industries. They provide industry leading etch and deposition process technologies on a range of single wafer handling platforms. End-market applications include MEMS, advanced packaging, LED, high speed RF device IC’s and power semiconductors.
Key responsibilities:
Producing high quality documentation packs, often to complex customer specific templates
Design changes based on customer requirements
Design changes based on changes to regulatory requirements
Working with suppliers to manage customer facility requirements
Producing Change Orders where required and collaborating with the supply chain.
Implementing ‘copy exactly’ procedures.
Design changes for obsolescence
Producing documentation for field labeling of systems
Attending customer and supplier project meetings
Supporting other departmental projects
Skills and Qualifications:
Fixed installation machines
Special purpose machinery
Vacuum systems
Ancillary equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers and abatement systems.
3D CAD experience with Solid Edge or similar is essential.
Proven experience working in a development and design environment.
Design experience for CNC machining would be desirable
Experience using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) analysis tools.
Good understanding of CE/SEMI compliance requirements would be desirable.
