Where does this role fit in?
The Creative Artworker role is part of the ITG Agency team, providing design adaptation, artwork, pre-press production services and consultancy. The general studio team are responsible for delivery of all graphic content activity to ITG's customers.
The Creative Artworker is responsible for design adaptation and artwork production for range of collateral from master design files.
You will ensure adaptation and production of artwork to the highest standards of design principles, brand consistency, technical and content accuracy and efficiency. You will also support the Head of Studio in the pre-production evaluation of supplied design files, validating queries and issues where required, reviewing and verifying artwork files for adherence to brand consistency, production processes and supporting overall effective service.
Key Accountabilities
Creative Artwork Production
Provide production for projects including:
Design adaptation
Artwork creation
Minor colour retouching
Responsible for ensuring production is to the highest standards and adherence to guidelines
Responsible for ensuring range work is consistent for both design and technical specifications
Responsible for ensuring artwork created from master templates and guidelines supplied is produced to the standards set out, with any discrepancies, issues or typographical concerns escalated to the Head of Studio
Pre-production
Attend pre-production meetings to assess new designs/projects
Be fully conversant with customer Creative and Brand Guidelines, and how to implement design adaptation solutions that adhere to customer guideline so
Interrogate briefs and provide input on proposed project execution methodology and estimates of production time
Review project designs and brief components, confirm acceptance of briefs and escalate issues
Systems & Process
Responsible for the effective adherence to Studio systems and processes at all times
Provide input to the Studio systems and processes to deliver continuous improvement
Quality Management
Responsible for the adherence to internal Quality Control processes and procedures
Colour Management
Develop artwork in line with the studio colour management processes and procedures to ensure colour consistency of the digital colour specification of all artwork
Capability Development
Continuous personal knowledge development of creative artwork for digital and printed mediums
Continuous proactive development of software knowledge and competencies
Requirements

Applied knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite of production software
Strong understanding of design principles, typography and layout
Able to understand and interpret design guidelines in artwork execution
Good understanding of artwork specification requirements for all printed and static digital mediums
Conversant with use of digital workflow systems
Have an exceptional eye for detail and meticulously high quality standards
Be able to develop new knowledge and skills proactively
Good communication skills to liaise with all production process stakeholders
Knowledge of colour management and proofing an advantage
5 years experience of creative artwork production
