Sous Chef, Edenbridge Kent, up to £36k
Located in the stunning Kent countryside, this amazing venue caters for a main restaurant, as well as a busy café providing freshly prepared hot food and deli items. Our client is now looking to recruit a strong Sous Chef to take ownership of this café and run it as if it was their own.
As the Sous Chef, you will
* Be fully responsible for the running and service of the kitchen, taking ownership of the kitchen
* Manage the small team and ensure standards are maintained
* Work alongside the Head Chef and GM (based at the main restaurant)
* Have input into menus and offers
* In addition, oversee and support the mobile catering units onsite
Working hours are 5/7, 40 hours per week. Please note, key periods of business are weekends and Bank Holidays so this role will involve working majority of these.
Our ideal candidate would be
* An experienced Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie with a proven work history
* Keen and able to take ownership of a kitchen
* A team player with the ability to lead and manage
* A strong communicator with exceptional organizational skills
* Attentive to detail and presentation
* Genuinely passionate about food and high standards with a strong knowledge of food trends
* Flexible and willing with a big personality and a positive, can do attitude
* Able to work most weekends and Bank Holidays (essential)
