Job Duties:
Managing Quality Engineers and Inspectors on day-to-day bases
Inspects and improves products and monitors and develops inspection processes.
Contribute to quality assurance policies and write procedures.
Ensure manufacturing is adhering to product requirements per customer specifications.
Facilitate problem solving activities related to customer concerns, customer rejects and warranty returns.
Drive daily problem-solving activity through 8D methodology and ensure poke yokes are implemented where feasible.
Train inspectors and Production team members to understand customer quality requirements
Analyse daily quality performance data and report top issues to manufacturing.
Drive PPM and scrap reductions through problem solving methodology.
Following procedures for all IATF16949 SC and CCC requirements.
Drive containment activity after customer concern.
Issue quality alerts and train team members on detection.
Assist all departments with their continuous improvement activities.
Ensure incoming and outgoing inspection plans are being followed and are understood.
Assist in design and implementation of countermeasure activities.
Conducts internal audits as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Attention to detail and drives for results
Makes decisions and solves problems to identify root causes.
Possesses effective communication skills internally within the team and also with external customers or suppliers.
Experience of working with supplier and forming good customer relationships
Actively seeks personal growth and development.
Education:
Relevant degree in Engineering, Quality Management or related field
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry
Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
Ability to lead and motivate a team towards quality goals
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Quality Management (e.g. Six Sigma)
Experience with Lean manufacturing principles
Working Conditions:
Work primarily in a manufacturing plant environment
May require occasional travel for supplier audits or training purposes
Full-time hours, with occasional weekend or evening work to meet project deadlines
