Macildowie are working with an established business within the Manufacturing industry looking to recruit an experienced Area Sales Manager.
Good knowledge and experience of capital equipment sales is a must. A technical/engineering background is highly desirable. Detailed product training and support will be given. Reporting to the Sales Director, working from a home base, the role will require sales management of the South of England.
Key responsibilities:
Existing customer account and relationship management.
Sales growth & business development with new customers.
Organising & managing customer machine demonstrations.
Occasional attendance at industry related exhibitions
Providing detailed, clear technical guidance & justifications to potential customers.
Preparing sales documentation including quotations, sales orders and order acknowledgements.
Final negotiation and closing of sales.
Achieving sales targets.
Continual & accurate sales forecasting with established CRM system.
Continual update of MSS CRM contacts.
Support for PR, regular direct marketing and social media work.
Skills required for the job:
Proven track record selling capital equipment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Personable with a 'can do' attitude.
Able to work flexible hours with some nights staying away from home if required.
Self-disciplined with an ability to work autonomously.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Location suitable to cover the South of the UK.
Full UK driving licence.
Engineering qualification HND/equivalent or higher is advantageous.
