Based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, our client is a large, leading company looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

This job would suit a candidate who has previously worked within a finance department who will be responsible for the accurate and timely management of large volume reconciliations. The Accounts Assistant will also be responsible for elements of the intercompany reconciliation.

The successful individual will have a good understanding of bookkeeping and reconciliation techniques and have a strong knowledge of Excel Vlook Ups and Pivot tables. The candidate should have effective communication and organisational skills with the ability to achieve targets whilst maintaining accuracy and develop positive working relationships with colleagues and external contacts. They must be a problem solver who is highly computer literate with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes.

Duties will include:

Responsibility for timely and accurate accounting and reconciliations.

Responsibility for timely and accurate settlement of supplier debts.

Take operational responsibility of reconciliations and settlement.

Take operational responsibility for timely and accurate reconciliation of certain Intercompany Accounts.
