Production Manager
Annual Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are on the lookout for a seasoned Production Manager to lead our production operations in Chelmsford. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and experienced individual committed to driving efficiency and excellence within our manufacturing processes.
Day-to-day of the role:
Implement and integrate lean manufacturing principles into daily operations to streamline production and reduce waste.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing productivity and operational efficiency.
Manage production schedules to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products, while collaborating with various teams to optimize resources.
Motivate and manage production teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and providing necessary coaching and training.
Oversee quality control processes to meet and exceed industry standards, working closely with the quality assurance team to resolve product issues.
Monitor and control production costs in collaboration with the finance department, identifying cost-saving measures that maintain product quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Production Manager with a strong grasp of lean manufacturing principles.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of inspiring and engaging teams.
Comprehensive knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and quality assurance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Familiarity with industry-standard production equipment and technology.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is desirable.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
Lean or Six Sigma certification is highly desirable.
