We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Department for our Conveyancing division. In this pivotal role, you will provide technical expertise, legal training, oversee complex matters, and lead our outstanding, well-established team. The ideal candidate must be either a licensed conveyancer or qualified solicitor.
Your responsibilities will encompass:
Providing supervision, advice and guidance on technical and professional matters.
Championing best practices and case management standards, ensuring adherence to Lexcel and CQS criteria through regular file reviews and effective supervision.
Cultivating and nurturing relationships to support strategic growth objectives.
Collaborating with senior management to devise and execute business strategies aimed at expanding our Conveyancing department and revenue streams.
Meeting individual and collective billing targets while upholding key performance indicators.
Generating and presenting insightful reports on case holdings, turnover, billing, and client satisfaction.
Delivering legal and best practice training to team members and maintaining a repository of template documents.
Contributing to the firm's Lexcel and CQS accreditation through diligent adherence to quality standards.
Conducting departmental reviews, performance appraisals, and identifying training needs for continuous improvement.
Managing a small case holding.
You will supervise your team in line with our established quality and risk management systems, ensuring regular communication and support from the leadership team. Proactivity, collaboration, and effective communication are paramount traits for success in this role.
