My client is a leading service provider of cylinder gases to various industry sectors, offering personalized service combined with top-quality products and technical support. With over 60 years of experience, they strive to exceed their customer's expectations every day.
As an Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in achieving individual sales targets by value, product type, and profitability. Your primary responsibility will be to sell engineering and welding products, including industrial gases, to new and existing customers within the fabrication sector. This role demands strong technical knowledge and business development skills to effectively manage customer relationships and drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve sales and profit targets for named accounts, with a focus on new business development.
Ensure efficient supply and service to customers while complying with company policies, particularly health and safety regulations.
Plan and execute account strategies, optimizing customer engagement and minimizing travel time.
Proactively up-sell and cross-sell our product range based on market insights and customer needs.
Resolve client issues promptly and take ownership of customer accounts.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and company assets.
Requirements:
Practical welding experience, with the ability to demonstrate welding equipment and advise on process selection.
Understanding of the role of shielding gases in welding processes.
Strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills.
Clean driving license and willingness to travel.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Previous B2B sales experience; welding or industrial gases background preferred.
Proven track record of managing a large number of accounts
Package:
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
