The Triangle Garden is a community garden in Ransom’s Recreation Ground, Hitchin , Herts. Our facilities also include a community building and several allotments. The hours are offered on a weekly basis as a 1:1 for an individual that attends the gardens and will mirror this individual’s attendance.
What does this Support Worker job involve?
Hours of Work: 5.50 Hours Per Week on Tuesdays 0930 - 1215 and Thursdays 1230 - 1515
Day to day duties include:
Assisting the individual to get involved with cooking activities, artwork and gardening activities on a 1:1 basis.
You will be working with someone with learning disabilities, who is verbal, but with some communication barriers.
No personal care is needed
Some help with eating (such as preparing drinks and opening wrappers) will be needed.

The ability to create fun for an individual in an outdoor environment with a group.
The ability to work outdoors in all weathers.
As you will be working with vulnerable individuals, the appointment will be subject to a satisfactory DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check.
