The Security Architect will play a vital component in our commitment to providing the very best security consultancy and expertise to our customers. In close partnership with the wider Security team, you will lead the pre-engagement, scoping, design, and delivery of consultancy engagements - providing oversight, support, and guidance to ensure an outstanding customer experience. As an experienced and credible technical expert, you will be responsible for building on existing or establishing new customer relationships and demonstrating why Transparity Cyber should be their first choice for managed and professional security services. You will take pride in actively developing your skills and understanding of practice related technology and support the Head of Security through demonstrable technical excellence in maintaining our standing as a leading Microsoft Cloud partner.

Main duties and responsibilities

Strategic Solution Design:

Technical authority within a Cyber engagement.

Understand customer challenges and design solutions leveraging Microsoft technology to meet customer requirements.

Provide technical expertise during pre-sales engagements, including presentation delivery, architectural design and solution demos.

Customer facing role, supporting sales to deliver sessions both virtually and in person.

Pre sales responsibility for consulting and managed services.

Pipeline Development and Opportunity Generation:

Support sales with early pipeline generation through customer envisioning sessions and cyber strategy engagements.

Look for opportunities to proactively engage with customers to drive net new engagements.

Leverage your cybersecurity knowledge to address customer pain points and position our offerings effectively.

RFP Support and Proposal Development:

Assist in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) by providing technical input and ensuring alignment with customer requirements.

Craft compelling technical input to proposals that showcase our capabilities and value proposition.

Provide technical validation during the creation of Sales proposals.

Build custom demos and be capable of delivering validation / proof-of-concept activity where required.

Product Roadmap Contribution:

Collaborate with product management to influence the development of cybersecurity solutions.

Provide insights on market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to shape our product roadmap.

Customer Transition Management:

Smoothly transition pre-sales engagements into project execution.

Work closely with the consulting team to ensure a seamless handover.

Maintain strong relationships with customers throughout the implementation.

Insights Sharing and Gap Addressing:

Partner with marketing to share thought leadership, best practices, and success stories.

Identify gaps in our Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy and propose improvements.

Skills, experience and qualifications

Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Cyber portfolio:

Microsoft Sentinel

Microsoft Defender for Endpoint

Microsoft Defender for Identity

Microsoft Defender for Office 365

Microsoft Defender for Cloud

A minimum of 3 years Cyber Security pre-sales experience

The ability to identify business objectives, and translate into technical criteria to inform solution design;

An understanding of technical solution into delivery (project planning/phasing/timelines);

Technical and commercial document writing experience (proposals, tenders, project scoping documents);

An ability to articulate and present technical solutions across technical / non-technical audiences;

Excellent listening, communication and inter-personal skills;

Excellent presentation and demonstration skills;

Self-motivated, and organised;

Ability to work to customer and internal deadlines;

Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams;

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft certifications are advantageous.
