Lead Buyer
Nottingham
We are looking for an experienced Lead Buyer to join an established manufacturing company based in Nottinghamshire.
As a Lead Buyer, the successful candidate will develop and pursue purchasing opportunities and negotiate contracts.
Duties of a Lead Buyer include:
Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions
Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements
Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns
Analyse industry and demand trends and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
To positively impact the company's KPIs with particular focus on EBIT
To establish and support long-term supplier relationships to maximise supply chain effectiveness
Qualifications and skills required:
CIPS Qualified (Essential)
Strong Team player
Good knowledge of all MS Office applications, specifically Excel to an advanced level
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Confident and well organised
Proactive and able to multitask.
Drive and determination to succeed.
Strong and confident communication and customer liaison skills
Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure.
Excellent time management skills, methodical worker with high level attention to details.
Salary up to £40k
Working Monday - Thursday 7.00 am - 16.00 pm & Fri 7.00 am - 12.00 pm
