Our client is seeking a passionate FPGA Design Engineer, with a demonstrable and varied skillset, to join their talented team.
This role will focus on electronic hardware design with both digital and analogue domains.
In return, the successful candidate can expect a market competitive salary between £30,000-£40,000, depending on experience, with promise of continued investment in training and regular salary reviews upon completed training milestones.
Duties & Responsibilities
Support across various ongoing NPD projects
Assist in maintenance and development of existing product across the product portfolio
Create and maintain clear and concise documentation
Collaborate with internal Electrical/Electronic Engineers to ensure the design meets all stringent requirements, including ISO9001:2015 quality standard
Assist internal Engineering team with calibration and test procedures, test routines, result specification and uncertainty of errors for both (UKAS) ISO 17025 and standard calibration
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in some form of FPGA design required
Exposure to RTL design and coding experience with VHDL (or Verilog)
Knowledge of CPU or DSP architectures advantageous
Ability to learn how to develop large Altera and Xilinx FPGAs using VHDL (or Verilog)
Experience in analogue and digital design highly desirable
Schematic entry and PCB knowledge required
Some exposure to programming in C language
Understanding of EMC Compliance and UKAS calibration
