Offshore Mechanical Engineer
London, England, United Kingdom
Do you love the Maldives? Seychelles? Bora Bora? What about the thousands of other places around the world burning diesel every day just so that they can keep the lights on?
Well, we do! That’s why we’re helping them.
Who we are
We’re AEON Energy, and our mission is to enable every community in the world to generate and store their own clean energy locally.
We have started with Islands.
With our small team, we hope to improve the lives of millions who live there by providing them access to reliable and renewable power. To achieve that, we are developing an innovative product that allows islands to generate energy from multiple sources without occupying a single square foot of land space.
We have designed two products and will shortly be deploying a full scale pilot of the coast of sunny Ungoofaaru. Additionally, because our goal is to help as many people as possible, we are also expanding to other locations and have a second pilot project in Fiji, starting in 2024.
The good news is that you can be a part of this. You can have the opportunity to travel to some of the world’s most beautiful places whilst working to save them.

You will be presented with many technical challenges and will need to leverage your knowledge and research skills to address them in a cost-effective way. From planning the assembly of a 20-tonne structure on a beach with minimal tooling to executing a wave basin testing campaign there will be no shortage of interesting problems to solve.[MC1] [AM2]
